Lazy Sunday 9

Slept at 11 last night and woke up at 1pm today to find the laundry I left out last night drenched in the rain ToT

...I slept for 14 hours! Hahaha amazing. That averages out to 5 hours a day this week. Guess that wasn't so bad.

Was actually planning to make pancakes for breakfast but I woke up wanting something savoury so I had curry with prata!

And an extra bun because I was feeling hungry hahahahaha.

And then between 2 to 5 I had a mini toblerone and kitkat while watching the masters sun  hehehehehe. Omg I love this show! Sojisub and Gonghyojin have too much chemistry!(≧∇≦)Peirong faster go watch!!

And them i decided to take a stroll at about 4 because I was too bored. And, inspired from the pasta salad in the Lawson, I decided to make my own for dinner.

Fastest and laziest and healthiest (?) dinner ever haha. Open salad package, open noodle package, cut ham and tomato, put together.  The noodles are some tomato konyaku noodles that are amazingly only 10kcal heheheh. I also dressed it with kewpie's non-oil sesame dressing and some mayonnaise :) yum! I think this bowl didnt even add up to 200kcal heh.

For dessert I blended an apple with some milk! No veggies this time because I just wanted something sweet lol. I love apple+milk!!

My second internship starts tomorrow. Honestly, in have no idea what to expect.  I don't even know what the company does exactly :x we'll see how it goes I guess! Hahah

Oh yes. I took my weight this morning. 51.7! Yay! :) though probably just because it was in the morning lol.

Shion 8

woops didn't update for 2 days because I was too occupied with my internship *_* went home at like midnight for the last two days haha. Anyway, I had really exciting meals for the whole week hahaha.

First up was my dinner on Thursday at the Singapore National Day Reception!

So many people! And lots of food, because what would a singaporean gathering be without food?

First thing I gunned for was the Peking duck actually haha. Because from experience I knew it would be the first to run out every year. ...I forgot pics. Haha

Then I had satay! I was so happy to finally eat satay :)) just that it was kinda posh and that was weird haha. Posh satay, posh chicken rice.

And then there was grilled beef nomnom

And then dessert was fruits and cake! The picture does the cake no justice D: it was so good!

There was some funny flag thingy on the table too but it didnt look too tasty so i passed on that.

met some really interesting people too. Can't wait to go for the ASEAN festival in Yokohama on the 4th and 5th hehe.

Anyway, I did also manage to get a picture of yesterday's lunch too,

because they knew we wouldn't have the time to go out for lunch and they ordered sandwiches for us :) so sweet right! Breakfast was oats as usual haha.

I really wish I had more time on this internship because I really learnt so much, but I feel like I wasn't able to show it :/ and I realised that what really matters is the people around you. Being surrounded by people who were so brilliant was a completely new experience for me and it just made me want to work harder, do more, get trashed, work harder again. haha. I say get trashed, but the feedback sessions were just really there to get me to rethink my assumptions and think logically. Every time I came out of the meeting room I felt smarter. hehe And I didn't notice how much I was being affected by the people around me up till now. The level of motivation, brilliance, everything just rubs off it you're surrounded by the right people *_*

During the Q&A session of our final presentations, lol the ALL questions they asked were so sharp and to the point I was just in awe. Like you know how we've been studying critical thinking and all that jazz since secondary school. I never really got it. But I think I kind of do now. I couldn't really answer most of their questions, which was kinda sad, but it really got me thinking.

Before the internship I was just really doubtful about the whole thing. Like, what can you possibly learn in 5 day seriously. And what, a startup? :/ Well, the answer is a whole damn lot, if you got wonderful mentors like me hehe. :) I dont think I've ever thought so hard about something before and it was a really good experience that have me a chance to learn about myself.  I'm so thankful I got this internship :))

Oh and this was the gum I was chewing in the office everyday to stop myself from eating junk from the pantry haha.

So cute right! Shirokuma is like ice kachang with lots of fruits haha. It also means polar bear! I really ove Japanese packaging.

Shion Yee's day 5

I was gonna have the same breakfast as yesterday but I didn't have anymore frozen blueberries left. I did have some pb2 though.

My daily bowl of comfort in the morning <3

I love oatmeal from Bobs red mill! Creamy but still full of texture :)) and ob2 is awesome because it had 80% less fat and is powder so I can mix into my oatmeals and smoothies easily!

Lunch was a karaage set meal courtesy if my mentors hehe. So good. But again, no pictures. Dinner as grilled salmon with rice and tofu and some pickles also no pics :(

it's really a pity because I've been having so much good food lately! The internship's really interesting because I get to have lunch and dinner with the consultants and managers and try talk about all kinds of stuff lol. From Japan being a titanic, wanting to be a Buddha, to what the hell 'value' means. Not to mention the free treats heheh. Totally bad for the diet.

Well I haven't been coping too well with my task though. I think my left brain needs some work lol. Assumptions, damn you!

I was kinda stressed after getting trashed during the feedback seesion so I had a snack in between lunch and dinner!

White chocolate sandwiched in wafer like cookies. :9 Like shiroi koibito! Shared some of it within the other interns so I didn't have to feel so guilty haha.

And then I stayed til about 10 redoing my proposal from scratch lol. And then went home to watch my new favourite kdrama hehehehehehe The Masters Sun. Omg so jisub so hot -gush- and had a guilt free dessert :D

I try not to eat these 0 calorie things cos I guess they probably aren't good for the body. But sometimes I just need a dessert at night on a day I ate too much in the afternoon so :'D as expected there was a kind if sick-sweetness to the taste but the Nata de coco was awesome! Hehe.

Okay off the sleep. Hope I do better tomorrow! Both on my intern and diet D:

Shion Yee's day 4

First day interning today at a startup consulting firm! Woke up at 7am sleepy and cold so I didn't have my morning green smoothie >< made some warm gooey oatmeal with choc chips and blueberries instead! :9

Lunch was soba noodles with the other interns and my mentor. Wasn't able to snap a picture of that >_< dinner was an aglio olio pasta!

Sat in the office the whole day today working on my task : find a way for Uniqlo to utilize the Internet

So vague! By the time it was dinner time I finally got a bit of direction lol. Can't believe I took a whole day just to come up with something so simple. Pretty interesting working alone on such a task though. I think I concentrate better alone. Just that its kind of easy to just get trapped in my own thoughts and not see the big picture. I also screwed up my self introduction in nervousness lol. Japanese.

It felt really good to just spend the whole time concentrating solely on getting something done though. Haven't done that in a while. Too many distractions and not enough passion lately heh.

And then on the way home I realised that I didn't have to cycle for 15mim to get to Todaimae station on the tozai line when I could have walked 10min to Komagome station near my house lol. Fail hahaha.

Anyway, got home and made myself a green smoothie of half an apple, peach and komatusna again. I think komatsuna had a really strong taste T-T shall stick to spinach next time.

And lastly a kinder bueno to reward myself!

Okay. Gonna work harder tmr!!

Shion Yee day 3

Lazy Sunday!

...I failed today T-T had two toblerones and a kinder bueno. It's okay, today is Sunday!

Woke up at 11 so I guess I skipped breakfast. I was craving mee goreng so in decided to try making some.

But I totally failed and just got some sambal tasting thing haha.

And then I had an orange!

And then I went out to teach English haha. Came back hungry and had meat sauce spaghetti for dinner. Too lazy to cook so I bought some instant sauce and added some broccoli haha

Got scammed D: there was almost no meat in there!!! So I ate 2 mini toblerones and an apple... Woops. Haha.

Internship starts tomorrow! From what I head its more of a case solving thing lol. Plus it's individual work *_* hope I do alright!! If things go well I might end up with a part time job as an analyst too hehe. Fighting!!

Shion Yee day 2

Okay today went pretty well! Think I'm beginning to get in control if myself again haha.

Breakfast was a green smoothie of Komatsuna, pineapple and a finger of carrot, a hard boiled egg and a small tomato (because I didn't like the taste of the egg in my mouth D: )

I love organic vegetables! A little bit more expensive but then I won't have to wash vegetables half asleep in the morning lol.

I also think I have perfected hard boil eggs heheh. Secret is to switch off the stove after the water boils and just leave the eggs to cook in the water for 10min or so.

Then I went for jazz class in the school gym.

Omg the teacher is like so dreamy. (*_*) Tall and handsome with a dreamy voice and super nice.

Think ill be going for this class every sat hehehe.

Lunch was shogayaki set from yayoiken ken. Asked for less rice but I still couldn't finish :/

Nomnom I love the gingery sauce! About 700kcal according to the site. But I definitely didnt consume all of that.

So I decided to treat myself to a cup of hazelnut cuppacino at Starbucks while working on some math.

After I was done I decided to give in to my sashimi cravings for dinner hehe. Cooked a small bowl of soba to eat with it too.

Dessert was a kitkat bar and an apple!
(While watching some running man haha)

The end. I think I ate about 1300-1400kcal today? :)

Shion Yee's day 1

Okay breakfast: small box of pineapples. Probably about slightly more than 100g.

Bought a box of them last night without looking at the price and it was like 400jpy for 200g ((((;゚Д゚))))))) so I ate half and saved the rest for this morning.

Lunch: went to delifrance and ordered their lunch buffet ehehehe :) only 680jpy for 2 hours. Comes with a small basket you can fill with of tiny pieces breads (danger!!!) a salad and a coffee.

The mini sandwiches were really nice.
So I refilled the basket with some heheh.

...and refilled the sweet breads

And at 1.30pm there was piping hot bread straight out from oven so what else could I do hehe.

...then I realised how much I had eaten. Shit. Σ(゚д゚lll)

So I ate less for dinner. Chicken and vegetable tomato sauté thingy from Seiyu. Apparently only 231kcal for 16g of protein, sounded good. But tasted a little too sour for me so I didn't finish it.

And then I went for a 5km jog!

Now I don't feel so bad. Haha.

Project lose 5

Hello this is Shion Yee. This is the blog of 2 girls, Shion Yee and Peirong who have decided to try to lose 5kg. We probably have different motivations, but the goal's the same. Peirong sounds like she needs a goal in life and I think I need to be able to fit into nice coats in the coming winter. So here it goes!

We all know it takes a lot of determination to (stop eating chocolate and) eat healthfully. So maybe if we recorded everything it would make it harder for us to cheat and eat stuff we're not supposed to edt.

So the idea is, we will snap and upload pictures of everything we eat and hope that having to take a photo of the next Kinder Bueno bar I reach out for will be a big enough deterrent from eating it. Haha.

So...............

Currently: 52.7kg
(excuse: it's night time now!)

Well I just came back to Japan from a month of almost uncontrolled indulgence (I was 51.3 before going back!) in Singapore so we'll see how it goes from here. We'll weigh ourselves once a week to keep track of how we're going. So that means every Wednesday for me!

One of the best things about Japan is how you can find nutritional values of almost everything that's packaged, and even in restaurants. There are also a million kinds of diet food. I feel empowered!
